Traci J. Wolf founded the law firm in 1990 and the firm has been in continuous operation since that time. The majority of Ms. Wolf's legal practice has been devoted to representing the legal needs of the business community, including serving as general counsel for several local, regional and national corporations. In her capacity representing business clients, Ms. Wolf routinely handles commercial real estate transactions involving commercial development and acquisition, as well as helping small businesses with succession planning. During Ms. Wolf's experience of over thirty years, she has represented sellers, buyers, lenders, and minority shareholders in an extensive number of merger and acquistion transctions involving the purchase and sale of businesses. She has also represented clients in the gaming industry. Representative clients of Ms. Wolf have included Defined Fitness, Clear Channel Outdoor, and Downs at Albuquerque Racetrack and Casino.
In addition to business law, Ms. Wolf handles complex domestic relations matters. Ms. Wolf has been selected by the Bernalillo County Second Judicial District Court Judges to serve as a settlement facilitator for the Court. In this capacity, Ms. Wolf is frequently called upon to assist the Court to settle difficult cases pending before the Court.
Ms. Wolf's practice also includes representing employers with regard to all employment law matters including, but not limited to issues involved in risk management, hiring, discipline, and termination. Mr. Fox has been affiliated with Wolf & Fox since 1992. His legal work encompasses business and commercial law, gaming law, defense litigation, employment law, and all aspects of divorce and family law.
Mr. Fox places an emphasis on regularly consulting and counseling with employers and businesses in an effort to prevent claims from arising, including providing training to management to ensure the appropriate application of company policies and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including all employment laws.

In addition, Mr. Fox continues to provide sound legal advice and representation to clients in all aspects of family law including divorce, paternity, custody, timesharing and visitation, child support, property and debt division, alimony and spousal support, and adoption, just to name a few. Christen E. Hagemann is a senior partner with Wolf & Fox. Ms. Hagemann focuses her law practice on family law, real estate transactions, business transactions, gaming law, and employment law.
Ms. Hagemann is recognized as a New Mexico Board Certified Family Law Specialist. For over a decade, Ms. Hagemann has effectively and efficiently represented her clients in all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, custody, visitation, timesharing, child support, interim support, alimony and spousal support, adoption, business valuations, asset protection, and drafting complex settlement agreements. Ms. Hagemann's extensive knowledge and experience in settlement negotiations and litigation have resulted in positive outcomes for her clients. Ms. Hagemann's goal in representing her family law clients is to develop a plan that is tailored to reach their specific objectives while minimiizing their worries during a stressful time.
In relation to family law, Ms. Hagemann is also appointed to serve as Guardian ad Litem, representing minor children in highly contested custody cases. Ms. Hagemann is also regularly chosen by the Court to serve as a settlement facilitator to attempt to mediate contested divorces and legal separations.
In addition to family law, Ms. Hagemann practices in the area of real estate law, business transactions, gaming. law, and employment law. Ms. Hagemann's experience in these arears of law include the preparation of purchase agreements (residential and commercial), the prepartaion of business formation documents, drafting management and operating agreements, employment contracts, training manuals, developing training programs, assisting with gaming and employment compliance related matters, and defending unemloyment claims.
As a well-known leader in the Albuquerque community, Ms. Hagemann is active in many organizations. Ms. Hagemann is a member of the New Mexico Bar Association, a member of the Albuquerque Bar Association, Vice President of the Commerce Center/Commerical at Enchanted Hills Owners' Association, serves as SPRC Board Member for Mesa View United Methodist Church, serves as a member of the Bridge the Gap Curriculum Committee, is a Bridge the Gap mentor, former member of Albuquerque Reads Committee through the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, former member of the Albuquerque Professional Busienss Women's Association, and former Children's Court Mentor.
Ms. Hagemann has been recognized as a top young professional in both and Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico. In 2016, Ms. Hagemann was honored to be named one of Albuquerque Business First's "40 Under Forty" and in 2012, Ms. Hagemann was bestowed with the Young Professional of the Year award by both the Albuquerque Professional Business Women and the New Mexico Professional Business Wormen.
Ms. Hagemann received her Bachelor Degree in Public Administration from Michigan State University in 2000 (GO GREEN!) and her Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in 2005.
Jessica M. Hess was born and raised in Northern New Mexico and is bilingual, with Spanish as her second language. Jessica’s main areas of practice include domestic relations law, children's law, and criminal defense. Her domestic relations practice is extensive, covering divorce, legal separation, child support, paternity, spousal support and alimony, post-decree enforcement proceedings, qualified domestic relations orders, kinship guardianships, child custody and visitation, interstate custody disputes, domestic violence restraining orders, adoptions, and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
Jessica also heads Wolf & Fox's criminal defense division where she ensures the protection of the rights of people facing felony and misdemeanor criminal charges throughout New Mexico including DWI/DUI and drug related charges. Jessica is committed to minimizing the impact that an arrest, criminal charge, and potential conviction can have on a client's life, future, and freedom.
Jessica is routinely appointed by the Court to serve as a Settlement Facilitator as part of the Second Judicial District Court’s Year-Round Settlement Facilitation Program. She also volunteers as a Mentor for the Children’s Court Adult/Youth Mentor Program.
Jessica is a member in good-standing of the Albuquerque Bar Association, the National Hispanic Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, as well as the Bar Association of the United States District Court.
In recognition of the outstanding legal representation she provides, Jessica received the Super Lawyers Rising Star Award for the Top Rated Family Law Attorney in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2012. She was also the recipient of the Nationally Ranked Top 10 Attorney Award issued by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (NAFLA) in 2014. Upon receiving her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2007, Ms. Padilla began her career focusing primarily on adoption law. During that time, Ms. Padilla represented clients in all aspects of the adoption process including representing birth parents who were agreeing to the adoption of a child or contesting the termination of their parental rights, as well as representing clients seeking to adopt a child. Those adoption cases have included step-parent adoptions, inter-familial adoptions, open adoptions, closed adoptions, adoptions involving children from other states, and international adoptions. Ms. Padilla has been a member of the Advisory Board for the New Mexico Adoption Exchange since 2007 and has presented at many legal seminars on topics including adoption and assisted reproduction law. Ms. Padilla joined Wolf & Fox in 2010, where she continues to provide sound legal representation for clients involved in pursuing or contesting an adoption.
Upon joining Wolf & Fox, Ms. Padilla’s practice expanded to include all areas of family law including domestic violence, divorce, legal separation, and paternity and all of the related issues such as custody, timesharing and visitation, child support, spousal support, and division of property and debt. She is devoted to making sure that things are handled properly the first time around and ensuring that her clients are fully protected.
In 2014, Ms. Padilla became recognized as a New Mexico Board Certified Family Law Specialist. To compliment her family law practice and assist her clients and other parties with resolving legal disputes, Ms. Padilla is also certified as an Advanced Family Law Mediator.
